99% of the time your employer's contribution is normally sufficient to cover your legal costs of providing you with independent legal advice on your compromise agreement. The 1% may arise only if we are required to enter into complex negotiations with your employer on your behalf becuase you may not have reached agreement with your employer on the terms of your redundancy pay, or you believe that the grounds for making you redundant are not fair and you require detailed advice. It is only in these circumstances that you may be charged above your employer's contribution. We would always inform you at the outset if there is going to be any additional charge for our legal services and agree the cost with you upfront.
